Sabin Rai set to rock Kalimpong

KALIMPONG, Nov. 17 — Popularly known as the ‘Bryan Adams’ of Nepali music, Sabin Rai, a Nepal-based artiste, will be performing here on 26 November.
Sabin Rai is all set to rock the crowd here in this show organised by Mazako Guys — a local event management group. The one-day event will feature Sabin along with the Angel band. Also called the ‘Bryan Adams’, of Nepali music Sabin is known for the husky performance of songs like Guraso Ko Phed Ma and Sundhar Tha Ko Udhar from his first album titled Sataha. Though this will be Sabin’ s first visit to this region he has already staged a number of shows aboard, like in Singapore and Brunei.
“ Since Sabin is quite popular in the present music scene we decided to host a show featuring him”, treasurer of Mazako Guys, Sardha Mukhiya said. Last year the group has also called upon another Nepali pop artiste Nima Rumba in aid of ‘clean and green Kalimpong’.
“ I am really excited for the show’’, an excited Diana Sherry (20) said claiming that she will drop down to Kalimpong all the way from Darjeeling only to watch the show.
